Thanks to Jon Bon Jovi for helping us understand that, once in awhile, elected politicians get it right in the use of tax dollars and TIF money projects.
The intensity that Bon Jovi and his band displayed in their performance April 17 at the Sprint Center was something that my friends and I agreed comes along only once in a great while.
To say the concert was awesome is an understatement. That was what a lot of us further discussed over a couple of drinks at a bar called Howl at the Moon in the new Power & Light District that was built to complement our Sprint Center. We just didn’t want the night to end.
Thanks to Mr. Bon Jovi and thank you, former and current city officials, for a night we will always remember.

Glad you enjoyed your visit! The P&L District is fun.
Next time you're here be sure to also pay a visit to some of the little guys who were here on their own, before the taxpayer subsidized places. The P&L may be right across the street from the Sprint Center, but within the same distance you'll also find Cupini's, Perk Up (which has coffee, ice cream, soups, desserts, and more until late!), The Studio, Zoo Bar, 13th Street Bar & Grill, Madrigal, Crosstown Station, The Cigar Box, Thai Paradise, Willie's, JP Wine Bar, and probably more that I'm forgetting. :)
