Honestly, how could they?
It continues to amaze and dismay me that so many Democrats are willing to vote for someone who has proved herself to be corrupt, dishonest, untrustworthy and a dedicated and deliberately repeated liar about many things.
Amazing.

I have no idea what your last posts have to do with our "off thread" discussion.

"feel", not "fell"

Engineer,
Maybe its the fact that you never had a black or hispanic comrade in arms that makes you fell as if you fought for a different country than I did.

Engineer,
Wipe the side of your face as it is running down your head.
You care nothing for the Rev Nutcase congregation. If you can provide any quote that says he hates whites or is racist please provide them now. If a person says something unfounded about the gov't does that make them a racist? If it does maybe I'm mistaken and am living in a country that non whites are here by our magnanimity.
That you are willing to forgive and honor the confederacy shows that you have no problem with the ideals, outdated and barbaric as they are, that they fought to uphold.
As usual you keep to your position that white is right, no matter how wrong it is/was/shall be.

I said I had never criticized anyone for "having an opinion unflattering to American gov't". I have criticized the Rev. Wright for telling vicious, unfounded lies about the American Government while hustling his congregation for money. I do honor the Confederate battle flag and the brave, dedicated men who fought and died under it. Frankly, I cannot understand any ex-soldier who does not do so if he knows anything of their history. .

Engineer,
I have seen you over the past few months lambast Rev Wright for his opinions on the American gov't. You have called him everything from a racist to a hate monger. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The other day you say you support the honoring of a battle flag under which an armed force of rebels killed hundreds of thousands of American ttroops. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have never condemned a man for having "an opinion unflattering to American gov't". As to one who holds your apparent views on confederate soldiers, my most favorable opinion is that they have simply been denied any meaningful education in the matter

Jim
I have never said he "seemd to hate America and wants to weaken it". I have said that in my opinion his advocated course of action on Iraq will be bad for America. That is a different from saying he intends his actions to have unfortunate results. I am not saying he wants to weaken America but that his proposed actions will do so. I have said his economic views are very different from mine. He believes in income equalization, apparently by any means possible. To me that is a dangerous view. It is also a socialistic one and, IMO, many of his ideas do have socialistic connotations. Socialism is an economic system. In theory it can exist under a representative republic type of government. I also am convinced form his remarks that he will raise taxes to the extent he can convince Congress to do so.

"will not hesitate" honoring men.

Good eeevening,
Our friend the Engineer will condemn a man who has an opinion unflattering to American gov't but would honoring men who under a flag of rebellion killed hundreds of thousands of American soldiers.
Consider the source on all of his posts.

"As the old radio program almost said "Who knows what lurks in the heart of the Obama"?"
Seriously? Eng, you come on here every day saying that you know what lurks in his heart. According to you, he's a die-hard socialist who seems to hate America and wants to weaken it by surrendering to the terrorists.
You can't provide any proof of that, of course, but then no one who's building a ridiculous, often completely contradictory smear narrative about obama ever needs proof.

At least we know "I can't recall" HRC.
As the old radio program almost said "Who knows what lurks in the heart of the Obama"?

It amazes me that none of these folks are amazed at the smears and lies they bought last time, and are apparently being dusted off for this time.
A dishonest politician. This is news?

What's "amazing" is that the Star would publish this claptrap. Where's the proof of your statement? It's easy to see that you've been listening to Slimebaugh and Hannity too much. You're a conservative zealot who simply fears that McCain will be another Bob Dole..

I'm amazed that the letter writer had the "guts" to write this in light of the 2004 election.

Are we to assume this amazed, dismayed person is referring to Hillary Clinton. Or is he talking about female Democrats in general?
