Politicians do care

I read the Letters section in The Star every morning, and most times, I try to respect the opinions of those who contribute. It’s a good way to educate oneself.

However, I have to address Don A. Eberle (5/14, Letters) who commented that politicians don’t read letters and it makes one think that politicians don’t care. I can dispute that.

My congressman, the Hon. Dennis Moore, 3rd District, Kansas, has received and personally replied to more e-mails and letters from me than his predecessor. I have the proof, in a handwritten note, that my congressman cares.

People, politicians do read your letters. Whichever way you lean politically, let your elected officials know where you stand, because sometimes your correspondence is the only feedback they get.
