Where’s the outrage?
I was really bothered by a story (5/7, Sports) stating that a former player for the Minnesota Vikings was charged with assault and accused of holding a plastic dry-cleaning bag over the head of his 2-year-old son.
Michael Vick had some dog fights, and he dominated the news. Meanwhile, this little-known football player’s actions received only a sentence on the bottom of the sports page. I wonder how all the readers who wanted to see Michael Vick hanged feel about this.
We will never know because it’s not about dogs, but instead about the 2-year-old child of a little-known player.
We all need God.

Sol it would not surprise me if we end up with Vick, not one bit.
It is sickening that children are abused, murdered, etc. but that's the world we live in. One where courts and society care more about money than character, more about vengance and power than doing what is right.

Good morning NE,
I was wondering why Carl and Herm did not draft a QB. Now I see their insiious plan to wait out the Leagues decision on Vicks future and then bring him hear so we'll have on of the most reviled individuals in sports lead out team.
As far as why the outrage is less in this new story, I think it is because we get these type of things in the media constantly. Children abused, kidnapped and murdered seems almost normal we hear it son much. Animals are seen as defenseless victims of human cruely, and it makes it to the media much less often and rarely with a celebrity. The media drive for ratings is what its all about.
I agree with your idea of punishment for the Viking, with the addition of a feww cats in the bags and a couple of game dogs in the cell.

I am sure you will be the first to purchase a Chiefs #7 jersey when he comes on board.
A little known player is why. Whne you are in the limelight you get the coverage.
The other player should be put in a cell with Vick and bags placed over both of their heads.
