Having gone through the 1993 floods while living in St. Joseph, I have been following the developments in Iowa closely.

One of the most heartening things to me in 1993 was the outpouring of help.

Today, I came across an example of that spirit in one place that I least expected it. I was visiting www.barackobama.com to do some research regarding his positions and found that prominent on this Web page was a plea for assistance for the victims of the flooding and a link to the American Red Cross Web site at www.redcross.org.

I urge everyone to contribute what they can to help the victims of this natural disaster, just as many helped us and our neighbors in 1993.

You mean ther same Red Cross John Edwards sued? How much is Barack and his crowd giving to the flood victims? How much is John Edwards contributing?
