I find it interesting that Suzanne Conaway (6/1, Voices) and many others take such issue with the phrase “no problem” instead of “you’re welcome.” Lighten up, people. No offense is intended.
Suzanne’s reply to “What are we having tonight?” as “I don’t know what you are having, and I’m not paying for it, but I would like ...” reminds me of people who take every opportunity to make hateful remarks to waiters and waitresses. I guess it is because it makes them feel superior. And the servers cannot talk back in the same way if they want a tip, which they need to pay their bills.
Just remember, Suzanne, how you treat people shows a lot about who you are. Also, it is just not too smart to make hateful remarks to a person serving you food. That is, unless you like spit in your food.

Queens english for everyone. Can you believe the current price for a liter of petrol?
BTW - Susanne is really asking for it by responding like such a "donkey" when asked a simple question in a manner she doesn't appreciate.

We are really tightly wrapped aren't we?

The same could be said about, "How is your day?" and the reply "Fine." For if replied in any other fashion it would be more shocking (but fun).
It is just one of those things we have learned to abbreviate in our lives. It is what it is.
