Sad day in “Brown Town.”
There is no truth to the rumor that all UPS drivers must half-mast their skivvies for the next 30 workdays in memory of Big Brown’s failure to win the Triple Crown.

Can't drink or smoke anymore? Solly, that can kill you. When's the funeral?

never would have bet against tiger on monday, but my bet on the longshot paid off that day.
I can't drink or smoke anymore but I do put down a wager every blue moon.

Katdude,
If you recall I told you that morning to bet the favorite and the longshot.
I netted $3300 on two small bets.
What a country.

Wade's commic commentary allows me to postulate about Big Brown's failure to win the Belmont & Triple Crown. The media, bless its tainted soul, was poised to publish all sorts of scandalous reports.
Big Ben simply 'ran out of gas'. Three very competitive races in only five weeks coupled with 93 degree weather on race day. I'm neither a vet nor a horse owner. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
