Date rape no laughing matter

I was offended and shocked at a disc jockey’s recent remarks made on a local FM radio station. The disc jockey kept bantering on about how he had “date raped a drunk girl this past weekend.” His statement was always followed by laughter and was repeated several times. As a civilized person, I am offended and appalled.

As a mother of both sons and a daughter, I am sickened that this was talked about on air in such a cavalier way. It is, in fact, against the law, and I see no humor in it whatsoever.

I believe this requires more than just tuning it out or off. I have contacted the station, and they responded that I heard this out of context. However when I requested the entire segment, they did not provide it.

I fail to see how even “in context” this is appropriate and not offensive.

I never said anything agianst giving to charity or helping sonmeone TRULY in need.
I am against govenrment mandating personal budgets based on gender and marital status. I am against government abusing and blaming one gender over another for someone elses poor spending habits. I against wealth distribution and selective taxation.
You may like socialism but I personally do not. How much do you contribute to chairty? There is a didference between chairty and extortion.
All a person has to do to get sympathy is say "I'm a single mom" and HOOORRAY! The cheering and pity starts. Apparently you and the majority are fine with this fraud.

I am not defending the DJ's but unless you know the story then you are just walking in on a conversation.
First, if this is the same dj's I hear in the morning then they are talking about how one DJ has a certain fetish he plays with his wife. They give him grief about that in which they bring up the only way he could get a girl is to drug her.

Now you have to think of two things here. One, it is just a bunch of guys just jerking each other chain. Then of course you have another big thing, it could be all made up. Shock jocks doing their job and it is a job that has earned them a very large share of the morning radio audience in KC.

For Johnny Dare being a bleeding heart, well I think NMMNG thinks anyone that offers money to charity as a liberal. At no time has Johnny told people they had to donate, he just lets them know the story.

Of course one major thing could be done here. Turn the radio station off, and your problems go away! But that requires personal responsibility.

"I believe this requires more than just tuning it out or off."

Would that "MORE" include some sort limitation on what the disc jockey is allowed to talk about, i.e., limiting his speech? I'd rather do what a reasobale person does, turn it off, instead of advocating more restrictions.

If the idiot on the radio did admit to a crime, investigate and prosecute as the facts dictate. We don't need more "action" to deal with violation of laws we already have.

Mary should have provided us with the name of this putz. Hope she gets satisfaction, but I would have just changed the station.

Was it the liberal bleeding heart hero Johnny Dare by chance?
