A ‘mute’ point on political ads

The enjoyment of television viewing has become greatly diminished by the frequency and repetition of commercials. This problem is further compounded by the replaying of unimaginative and negative political announcements.

Based upon my personal activity, I anticipate an increase in carpal tunnel syndrome resulting from constantly pressing the “mute” button.

I don’t advocate increased government controls, but something must be done.

This was addressed in the 70s.

Here's the thing, loudness cannot be measured; power can be measured. It is possible to make the commercial sound louder without increasing the power.

Cue the 12 year old geeks.

Have you also noticed the volume of the commercials? IT'S REALLLLL LOUD!!

First it was just the DISH Network commercials, and now it's almost all of them. We can't hit the mute button fast enough these days. I've read it's illegal in some states to broadcast commericals louder than programming.; Sure with it were so in Kansas.
