Obama or not

Reasons to (not) vote Obama

Thank you, anti-Bush letter writers Alex Migliazzo, Bill Lipira and Renee Lutzen (8/14), for waking me up!

George Bush has kept us safe since 9/11, and he represents all of us who love the U.S., believe in God, have strong family values, believe in the rights of the unborn and want to see our country stay strong and safe. Period. End of story. John McCain represents these same principles.

If you want higher taxes on everyone, vote for Barack Obama.

If you liked the Carter years of appeasement, weakness and international humiliation, vote for Obama.

If you want this country forever hostage to foreign oil, vote for Obama.

If you believe a baby has no rights in the womb, vote for Obama.

If you want to elect a man with no experience who represents the most liberal, left-wing views of this nation, where everything is OK under the guise of “tolerance,” vote for Obama.

Anyone with an IQ higher than their age knows that if Obama is elected we will be handing this country over to the most extreme elements of our society, creating a more intrusive government in social and health issues, taxes, entitlements and the environment. I seriously doubt the majority of us will allow that to happen.

Obama Nation peddles fear

The “Swift boaters” are at it again. Jerome Corsi’s The Obama Nation continues in the same mindset of misinformation, assumptions or outright lies that helped ensure the defeat of George W. Bush’s opponents during the past two elections.

You’d think we’d had enough: The elephant poo has been piled high. It doesn’t smell good, and we can’t burn it in our cars.

But still the twisted texts of fear and lies flow freely through the veins of the Internet, e-mail, AM radio and mainstream media.

If we allow ourselves to buy into all this fear-mongering, all I can say is we deserve another four years of Bush-like behavior.

I disagree, WHEN Obama takes over you can count on some things changing.
Unfortunately most of us are ont of the right persuasion or marital status to see that change for a positive. I count on seeing more copper in my pocket.

My guy is right, and the savior of all things precious to me. Your guy is wrong, and sure to destroy all things precious to me.

Good, now we've covered the basic argument. Fill in the names as you see fit.

Let's face it guys. People used to think that McCain was the maverick "I'll stand by my principles before my party" kind of guy. People used to think Obama was the anti-politician "I'm completely different than the Washington insiders" kind of guy. They're both proving themselves to be men who will do and say whatever they think is necessary to win.

No matter which one wins, nothing will change. They will both be so beholden to their party's leadership that all we'll get is more of the "politics as usual" crap. It's a shame, the former personas of both men seemed much more promising.

Polls, smolls. Obama has already been selected and chosen to be the annointed one. I would bet my EBT card on it.

Voting is simply a pacifier to keep the sheep thining they are involved in the process.

Janda, you must have mis-read my post. I wrote, "Pickens offered to bet John Kerry $1 million (payable to his favorite charity) that Kerry could not prove that anything in the Swiftboaters' television ads was substantially false." The link you provided had nothing at all to do with television ads. Pickens was absolutely right to refuse payment. Stll waiting for Kerry to take him up.

"... Kerry took up the challenge and Pickens repeatedly reneged. As more of the Swiftboater’s lies are exposed, Pickens continues to change the terms of his offer."

Indeed. But why did "Gary" only hear silence from Kerry and why does he still believe "the Swiftboaters were right about him"?

Not only has McBush opened up a new lead over Obama but McSame's new found popularity is supposedly based on a belief that Republicans are better managers of the economy. "Gary" also agrees with this economic assessment.

Obama can't be "The Messiah", el Rushbot. Mr. Bush was "The Messiah". The best BO can be is "the messiah".

The 136 SWIFT boat vets who signed off on their testimony about Kerry could be questioned I suppose, recollections of events in combat vary.

However, there can be no doubt that Kerry said his comrades raped, killed and pillaged in the manner of Ghengis Khan. I have seen the testimony, and I have had no use for the man since then. His little speech is memorialized in the museum in Hanoi.

The man was, and is, Unfit for Command.

No Gary, “Swiftboating” is character assassination by spreading lies in a smear campaign.

There was not silence from John Kerry. If fact Kerry took up the challenge and Pickens repeatedly reneged. As more of the Swiftboater’s lies are exposed, Pickens continues to change the terms of his offer.

The latest proof Pickens had to avoid was just last month:

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/25/t-boone-pickens-says-no-deal/

Pickens offer to pay turned out to be just another Swiftboat lie.

"Swiftboating" means demonstrating that a pompous presidential candidate has lied about his military record. As I recall, T. Boone Pickens offered to bet John Kerry $1 million (payable to his favorite charity) that Kerry could not prove that anything in the Swiftboaters' television ads was substantially false. He even told Kerry how to go about it: authorizing full release of all his service recorts. From Kerry: silence. The Swiftboaters were right about him.

Obama Nation should start to worry, new polls show that McCain has overcome his lead. What was unthinkable several months ago, now may happen. Obama just may lose this campaign. What is really suspect his his polling number have never exceeded 50%. I look forward to the crying and moaning.

Eww, someone had the audacity to criticize the "Messiah" and Horsey has a hissy fit!

Love to start the day with a good laugh.

Nothin' like a round of good guy/ bad guy on trash day.

If Tommy is going to channel for Jerome Corsi, he should include more of his talking points:

- Obama is not an American. He's some kind of an African or Kenyan or something from over there.

- Obama is a Muslim terrorist and also tied to the Weather Underground and Louis Farrakhan.

- Obama is a commie and he wants to raise your taxes.

- Obama left Vietnam four months into a one year tour and came home to falsely accuse his fellow sailors of atrocities.

- Obama received three Purple Hearts for minor wounds.

- Obama had Vince Foster rubbed out on orders from his old terrorist friends, Tony Rezko and Jeremiah Wright.
