I was born, raised, lived and worked in Kansas City, Kan. for 40 of my 50 years. Years ago, those from Wyandotte County were considered poor, backward folks to our more cosmopolitan neighbors. We native “Dottes” became proudly independent of our heritage in regard to the metropolitan area.
Today there are restaurants, bars, entertainment areas and soon a casino. Where do you think some smokers, who were banned in Johnson County and Kansas City, Mo., go to spend their money on food and drinks now?
To KCK I say: Remember who you are and let your businesses have the last laugh all the way to the bank.
