All politics are dirty

When it comes to politics, we are often willing to accept, justify and defend the faults, failings, mistakes and shortcomings of those we like and support.

On the other hand, we are often more than willing to hold the very same things against those we do not like or support. We want to think that our view and those who agree with us are always right and that anyone who dares to disagree with us is wrong.

The truth is, our way is not the only way. More often than not, many of the truths we cling to greatly depend on our own point of view. Most of the time we are unwilling to look at both sides with equal objectivity, yet we point out the open bias of the opposing viewpoint. We point our finger at the other side to point out their faults, yet we forget we have three fingers pointing back at ourselves.

So before saying how dishonest or wrong the other side is, we need to look at ourselves first, acknowledge our own biases and prejudices and realize that all politics are dirty.

Out of town on business in this failing economy, seldom have I had much time to do much of anything besides work and travel.
Just a couple of billion dollars in wind farm projects a couple of biomass plants and a long list of CCT implementation.
BTW - CCT is not something BHO is the innovator in, again he is the master of taking credit for something that has already been on the plate for sometime now.
The plant I just returned from will be at 99.999872% capture on CO2 and SO2. So it looks like JOe "The Patriot Tax King" Biden is again eating lunch at the closed diner.

hey mr nice guy.

where have you been? i've missed reading your comments and rants

Quote of the week from Sir Charles Barkley:

"Poor people have been voting for Democrats for the last 50 years... and they are still poor."

Very true Hanson.
It is unfortunate that we are often reduced to voting against ideology versus for ideology. Even more so this election.
Government run anything is pretty much worthless, with exception of maybe the military. I wonder if maybe the feds can step in and take over the Chiefs.

Kelly, the UN called, you left the light on in your office.........

Sad but true...

It is only negitive ad if the party that you hate says it. It is truth if your party says it against the other guy.
