Why not kill two birds with one stone?
As our nation’s pocketbook gets smaller and the climate crisis gets worse, it is high time that our leaders make a serious effort, and fast, to invest in creating green jobs throughout the nation.
This is one solution that could help both of the biggest issues that this country, and the world, are facing. Congress needs to use its common sense and support legislation for green jobs — now.
We wouldn’t actually be killing any birds but saving them.

Well Slyvia, you are about two decades behind on the energy industry. We have been for quite some time now implementing "green" renewable energy sources. What is amazing is that once we have green in palce, the consumer is not willing to pay the fair market price of what that energy costs. On the labor side, I know of at least 10 companies that are directly imiplementing these energy sources, they can not get enough labor. We are talking jobs that start in the range of $18 an hour for unskilled apprentice labor. People do not want to work, they want to whine. Also you may want to read up on methane gas releases, they have at least 20 times the affect of Co2 and guess what the largest source of methane gas is (other than lawyer politicians)? What the Al Gore's and Sirrea Clubs do not share with you are the mandates in place for Co2 and So2 capture requirements that have been and are completeing. The majority of coal fired plants in this country are in the high 90% or greater in capture levels. The newest plants are 100% capture, meaning zero amdissions of these pollutants. The enviro nut jobs are never happy though, anything to suspend industry and lose jobs.
