And the grassy knoll, how many shooters where there? That’s ok, millions of Americans believe the grassy knoll story.

Sounds as if they were given a chance to commit another felony and they took advantage of the chance.

Welcome back NEAWG, if for no other reason than comic relief. Lest we forget, you also consider the group that asks for money to send blacks to college racist too.

NE - I have been busy working unlike LJ or my ex-wife, since you bring that to front.
Our internet is full on and in fact we are upgrading to a more robust package end of month. You know with the economy like it is and all. They like the NAACP show favoritism to blacks, hence thaat makes them racist. Just like redlining was considered racist eventhough the risk metric involved make perfectly justifiable sense. ACORN is a bogus organizationa nd should be investegated and those that have been engaged in wrongdoing, punished. Much like people such as Barney Frank should be held accountable for their crooked dealings.
You won't believe this but, I think LJ is innocent based on the ridiculous story the gold digger came up with about his most recent encounter. He is innocent until proven guilty (or should be), although he still phony ghetto and a whiner.

little p, (and I hope you don't mind the n-name),
I think we are on the same page, and I'll point out that on a blog that anti or negative opinions on blacks are commonplace I take the side you take when it comes to political party, the counterpoint. I don't care for some of the statements and opinions here and will always speak out. Race, like politics, deserves at least two views to make it a discussion.
When President Bush was awarded the Oval Office in 2000 I did not have a problem with it because I had voted for him. Millions of Americans feel as if he stole the Office. I'm sure you'd say they are wrong. That is how I imagine your opposition feels about your post today I agreed with.

solomon, Again you spend far too much time between the lines reading what ever you believe I'm thinking. It's like when I made a reference to a tall basketball player you labeled it racist; ironically, I was actually visualizing the Chinese player Yau Ming - oops, I guess you caught me, dang I've always had it out for Chinese guys over 7 feet tall...;o)
The vast majority of my posts are highly critical of the system and I often call it on both sides. It is the fact that neither party is doing the job right and many we elect are serving only themselves that needs to be known - pitting one side against the other is EXACTLY what this system thrives on and is, therefore, counterproductive just as is justifying one wrong with another.
Now, I'll readily admit here have been times here when the liberal side of the argument is already overly-represented and rather than echo it, I add some needed clarity from a different perspective - all too often including a correction.

Good afternoon NE,
Where've you been? Did your ex, LJ or the Court System in jackson County cause you to lose your internet? :-)
I'm neither pro or con ACORN but a sure way to recognize that a group is not racist scum is for you to brand them as such. You've made it clear here many times that, IYO, blacks helping blacks in anyway is racist, and in this case ACORN also lobbies on behalf of whites, which makes your accusation less rational than usual. BTW, I don't agree with liberal political views but I don't consider liberals scum.
My darling Kate,
You're dead on here. What idiot in 2008 gives personal information out over the phone. There are numerous phone rooms and customer service departments run from our prisons. I saw a program a few years ago that showed political campaigns from both sides of the aisle use these services too.
little p,
You tend to be very insightful when you keep it brief, and I agree with you in essence here. I do wonder though if you really feel the Dems are demons and the Reps are faultless, as so many of your post depict. IMO, each side appeals to 50% of the country for a good round figure of 100% of Americans being used by the two party system.

ACORN is a racist liberal scum organization. As afr as felons are concerned, many states allow felons to retain their voting rights once off probation or parole. The US Constitution protects that right, felony or not. However, should someone get busted for voter fraud, then and only then should they lose that right. Just like the right to bear arms should only be taken away if you commit a violent felony.

The Nevada Secretary of State said that at least one individual was convicted of identity theft, and was serving time on an identity theft related conviction. He believes there may be others.
But, if Ms. Cheatum is convinced that there is nothing to fear in giving personal information to convicted felons, she should have no qualms about sending her name, address, date of birth and driver’s license number to the canvassers. They’re easy to reach. According to Channel 13 in Las Vegas, they’re all living at the Casa Grande Correctional Facility in Las Vegas.

The foundation of the American value system rests on the rule of law. There are methods by which the rule of law can be changed, but until it is, it must be respected; especially by those involved in the political process.
When a political organization like ACRON thinks the end justifies disrespecting this foundation by wantonly violating the rule of law, especially a law that governs voting rights, it gives us a preview of what we can expect from its favored candidate. Obama and his supporters want power and will say what ever it takes to realize that goal. However, once in power, they will collectively decide what's "fair" and rationalize their policies around that rather than our free market systems.

Good morning you unblushing ignoramus,
Col North is not the only person who fought for his country. He did also, contrary to anything you or I ever did, conspire with the "enemy" (Iran) and international drug dealers in Central America to circumvent US foreign policy. I know you forgive him for that because you are an idiot, but I do not. You are allowed your double standards and your life sized glossy of him in a Speedo which I'm sure you have a votive candle in front of in the room your old lady has been told is off limits.
I don't mind being called race card by a bigot but please don't question my patriotism just because you know I'm right and have no way to justify Col Norths underhanded acts for this nation.
Posted by: solomon | October 15, 2008 at 09:19 AM
Sorry should read "better than them", ACORN is like waving a red flag in front of a bull to me....
Posted by: Rogue | October 15, 2008 at 08:59 AM
Col. North has more honor in his pinkie than you will ever know Race Card. He has fought for freedom of all of us, including those poor folks in Central America. You don't like the tactics Race Card, like I said I will find you a Chaplin to punch your TS card.
ACORN is scum. They glory and revel in cheating and lying. I hope they all do hard time with "Bubba" in an 8x8 cell. I have scraped than them all of the soles of my jump boots.

T.,
I agree that the issue is probably not nearly as "evil" as the republican pundits want to make it out to be. That being said, it's generally a really dumb move to hire a convicted felon to perform a task which requires a large amount of trust that the job will be performed ethically due to the ease in which it could be performed fraudulently, especially when we're talking about the right to vote.
ACORN's biggest problem seems to be one of easily avoidable issues, that even if not intended to encourage the illegal acts, certainly did little to discourage the practice. Specifically, two "big" things come to mind:
1. Paying workers by the hour but still instituting quotas. The pay structure may have appeared to discourage falsification, but a reasonable person could anticipate that quotas, when the "job is on the line", would encourage the illegal act.
2. Hiring convicted felons to perform an ethically sensitive and easily manipulated job. Yes, I think it's great these guys are given a second chance. Would I hire them to guard the bank vault? Probably not.
Posted by: Marctnts | October 15, 2008 at 08:41 AM
ACORN has been found of possible of fraudulent voter registration. Not voter fraud, in which lies on the shoulders of that person that votes twice (or more). There are many safe guards in place to stop voter fraud (not saying that ACORN is making their job any easier) but it is not nearly as bad as Fox has us to believe.

I'm sure that FOX would not hold it against them if there was an opening that fit the networks need. They are not just my favorite news outlet, they are fair and balanced.
They did after all hire and glorify a former high level White House guy who illegaly dealt with Iran and Central American drug dealers.
