Cheers for planned Ford hybrid

There used to be a feature in some magazine called “Cheers and Jeers.” Here’s a cheer for the Ford Motor Company and its plan to produce a hybrid Fusion.

We’ve been driving our 2001 Mercury Sable for a long time now, waiting for a Ford hybrid of the sort we could afford and would want to drive. Now my prayer is that when they are produced, they will truly be available.

I hope U.S. auto companies can turn around quickly and produce autos that help us break our dependency on foreign oil.

There are lots of us who want to support the U.S. auto industry and its workers, but we need the kinds of cars that help us do that.

Feel free to get on topic any time? Lets take a good thing. Ford Hybrid suv one of the best buys on the road according to car and driver and make it bad somehow? If you don't want one don't get one. Fair enough. We all know in a capitalist society run by corp[orate lawyers that the environment will never come first. 90% of America are just like the relativists on here. They only care about themselves and that is it period. On the other hand when it becomes cost effective even they will buy a hybrid (or equivalent)it is only a matter of time. So three cheers for Ford and American manufacturing. Support it while you can.

Actually, Rogue-who-won't-be-on-again-today, it IS lame. It was lame every time Palin and McCain embarrassed themselves by parroting the whole Karl Rove Maverick mantra, We're the original mavericks, we're mavericks and we've got the scars to show it, what do you expect from mavericks, etc. The one shot of McCain and Palin standing side-by-side grinning and pointing their fingers at the camera as The Original Mavericks is the most cringeworthy political promotional shot in human history. OMG, OMG, someone has the unmetigated gall to buy an SUV!! What absolute scum they are!

Yep give old San Fran Nan Gram and Dingy Harry Reid along with Osama Yomama working in concert to ban developing our own oil resources offshore and in the Artic and they will have gas up to $6.00 a gallon and crippling our economy once again.

Listen folks drive the vehicle you want, support deveoloping oil reserves for jobs in both that induatry and in the total exonomy. Lets wake the hell up and laugh in the face of this global warming horse pucky and the moonbats who believe in it.

Thank goodness Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid and the new Democratic congress brought gas prices back down (by half!!) and saved America.
