I applaud smoking bans, not only at Kansas Speedway but everywhere.
Lung cancer, pneumonia and emphysema, which is caused by smoking and secondhand smoke, cost our nation much more than the amount of taxes that smokers pay.
Allowing smoking only in one’s car or home would be great for the future of our world.

It is heartening to read posts calling for a ban on actions that cause harm others, and condemning the loss of innocent life. Looking forward to reading similar condemnation of other “personal choices”.

The "science" on second-hand smoke is as fully settled as science gets (as opposed to right-wing theology), and if you don't want to live in a nanny state, stay right here. We let our citizens kill each other left, right and sideways with firearms in the name of the right of states to form militias, which keeps things kind of exciting.

Please, the "science" on second hand smoke is hardly settled, and I have no desire to live in the nanny state.

Transfats are going way very, very quickly, because consumers don't want them AND they're not addictive. Alcohol is being addressed, finally, by the fact that you'd better not get in your car with anything more than a cherry cordial in your bloodstream: twenty years ago driving drunk was still considered funny. And if I eat red meat, I don't affect your welfare in the slightest. Next?

Gosh Janet, what about red meat? Alcohol? Transfats?
