Am I alone in being bored to tears with the endless blather coming from the has-been or never-were athletes employed by television to explain and explain what my eyes have already told me?
When describing someone who was in love with the sound of their own voice, my mother would say that they must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle.
Enough already with the talking! Thank goodness for the mute button.

I'm a TV / radio combo guy. I'll watch the game on mute, and listen to the play-by-play on the radio. The radio guys have less "toys" to play with, and I think they tend to give you a better "feel" of the game.
Besides, when it's commercial time, watching the TV while listen to the radio creates some humorous ads.

Ok so don't listen, some people rely on it to get their info unfortunately they have to hear all the unwanted crap in-between.

I haven't listened to television sports announcers in years. Hit the mute button, put on some music, watch the game.

I am bored with the sport and the commentators. I dont watch either.
Ever listen to 610 am radio. All day long people speculating on everything sports from what these guys will do next year....to what underwear brands they wear. Give me a break. Get a life of your own.

So sit there and watch nothing; learn nothing and look stupid? I get tired of them as well but with out them there would be well no info.....no one for me to rebuttle and get mad at lol!

Well they can't very well get playing athletes to commentate although I agree some of them are annoying. Shannon Sharpe, Joe Buck, the Gumbel brothers and John Madden, annoying.
