Even celebrities are capable of molesting
Usually astute Star columnist Jason Whitlock writes “it’s impossible for me to believe that a human being who inspired so much peace, love and harmony could be capable of the heinous act of molesting a child.” (6/28, Sports, “Jackson’s music is all I need”).
It is important to recognize that one can inspire peace, love and harmony and be a child molester. Perpetrators can be celebrities; they can be anyone. Their age, race, social status and world views are completely independent of their penchant for this crime, and it is harmful to perpetuate popular mythology to the contrary.

Whitlock is an enigma. Sometimes he is of great wisdom, at other times great stupidity.

i don't care for jokes about the dead, with the exception of "How'd you like the play Mrs Lincoln?" To which she responds, "It was alright, I just wish we had a nicer booth".
I do have one for Fred....."What does Sarah Palin have in common with Roberto Duran? "They're both quitters"."

Did you hear that Macy's is having a sale on Tuesday in honor of Michael Jackson's life and timed to coincide with the memorial service?

What did Michael Jackson and the current KC Royals have in common?
They both wear a glove on one hand for no apparent reason!

He did it, yes I believe that, His music was great, his life was a mess and anyone making excuses for the mess is or must be in denial of a terrible crime.
I’m just glad he became white before he did it :>) Ok, sorry poor taste but still funny.

I always find it odd when a neighbor, friend, etc. of someone who commits some horrible act whips out the "but he seemed so normal line". I wonder what they expected, a sign around the neck that said "I love eating people", or maybe a bumper sticker with a giant heart around a picture of a dead guy stuffed in a freezer.
Face it, MJ wasn't exactly what you'd call normal anyway. Whether he did what he was accused of or not (and remember, he was not found not guilty), the premise that he "just couldn't have" because his music was so inspiring naive at best.
