Failing Palin logic

According to Sarah Palin, to “hunker down” at work is the “quitter’s way out” and “worthless,” but quitting your day job is a better way to get things done. Huh?

Then she said “a good point guard drives through a full-court press, and she knows exactly when to pass the ball so that the team can win.”

Since when does a point guard pass the ball, walk off the court and quit the team?

In a month’s time the GOP has seen three of its “stars” flame out. Sen. John Ensign of Nevada ran around on his wife. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin ran out on her state. South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford did both.

I thought it appropriate that the last part of your July 4 article about Sarah Palin resigning as governor of Alaska appeared on the obituary page. (7/4, “Alaska’s Palin is leaving office”)

My first reaction was that her leaving the governorship (and maybe politics) gave some of us another reason to celebrate this year’s holiday. My second thought — ridiculous and scary — was that one of her children’s vote of “Hell yes” for her resigning as governor carried with it an implied endorsement for her to run for president in 2012.

Palin has the right to do what she wants to make money; frankly I’m glad she is focusing on something other that becoming the president; don’t need another disaster in the white house.

Dan and the other Palinbots are just trying to enforce the rules: No criticizing The One. She is infallible.

Given how strongly he feels about her, I'm starting to wonder if Dan's forgotten the first commandment.

This is a story of a dishonest, mediocre person who wasn't much interested in governing and didn't do it very well anyway, so she quit. That's her right, but don't act like she can't be criticized for it. She will never be president, that much we can be sure of. And thankful for.

LOOK! QUICK:THE CALENDAR IS OFF AGAIN!

Dan,

I resent being boxed up with either of your accusations. They are aimed with animous in my direction and you put yourself in that " uh,uh,well, you're another one" immaturity.

Hate? In politics? Get real. I would not and never have thought of politics as requiring hatred. Sardonic, sarcastic, ugly, thoughtless, blind, petty, plain, peanut, colorful, competitive, ad nauseum. But HATE is something I reserve for 4am alarms, yes, paying taxes, bad baseball, stuff like that which don't really fester and poison me.

And, if I've transgressed, forgive me my sins, yet, I've seen YOU do better, too.

And I wonder why we have her loaned clothing prices but not Obama's, Biden's, or Clinton's?

Oh that's right, liberals will use ANYTHING to attack those they hate!

Even the most lamest non-issues imaginable.

Dan,
Seriously. Would you, despite all of the long-running connotations, call yourself " a conservative"?
Though I would be called " a liberal", I resent not the tag as much as being put in ANY box.
That's the crux of this namecalling. It's overused with nary a thought to possible elements that led to the slingshotting.

Kee,

See your 9:45:20 am comeback to see yourself again. Like, "I'm rubber, you're glue, what a lame excuse for political commentary" How dare YOU

OK the meter is off. But it does ultimately rhyme.

BTW, YOU win. I've let you reduce ME again.

Dan,

What? Was my comment "immature and hate-mongering IYO? I think you're just stranded with your hatched comebacks for THEM, the foilhatted.

And please don't use your milk repertoire. She does the groceries, too.

I think you get my drift about expensive suits. Didn't even say the other side doesn't dress to the nines too. Just like with the milk list kid, you are only cherrypicking around the intent.

No Dan, I don't. But I DO have the very public cost of Sarah Palin's costume, replete with the ensuing Republican infighting over ownership and responsibility that was associated with the failed Oscar attempt, for comparison. I dunno, maybe they were outfitting her candidacy beyond what they spend at Marshall's. Is that a good store? My wife outfits me.

You do have the price lists for everyone's clothing expenses in Washington D.C. right?

Sol, Kate has tremendous wisdom.

Good one Kee,

And so I say fellow slingers,
"soak your socks in kerosene to keep the ants away from that "candy ass".

Uhhuuck, Just made dat up.

Kee,

Solomon asked first. Is that your answer? Your FINAL answer. If so, then you have NO answers.

Solomon,

I don't speak for the Republican party, but it would be GREAT to see a "populist" like the fine former governor of our largest state carry their mantle in 2012. Keep THAT hope alive.

I can see it now: Arms outstretched with the early edition of the Chicago Tribune, banner headline reading YOMAMA DEFEATS PALIN. And the smugly grinning Sarah Palin brings to fruition her well fertilized growth into the shoes of Harry Truman.

Dan, If DEms or the left are "immature hate mongers" it's just because they haven't developed the whiskers of mature hatemongers yet. Other definitions of "plain". Hell, I had to google the word like you did to get past #2.

Please, please nominate Sarah Palin for head of the Republican party, the party of "plain" men and women in $10,000 suits.

Now watch the immature hate monger liberals with no adult point to make show us the other definitions of plain.

Like they really would apply to this woman in the real world!

I meant Palin, but maybe it was a freudian slip?

The Definitions of Plain:

clear to the mind; evident, manifest, or obvious: to make one's meaning plain.
conveying the meaning clearly and simply; easily understood: plain talk.
downright; sheer; utter; self-evident.
free from ambiguity or evasion; candid; outspoken: the plain truth of the matter.
without special pretensions, superiority, elegance, etc.; ordinary: plain people.
without intricacies or difficulties.
ordinary, simple, or unobstentatious: Although she was a duchess, her manners were attractively plain.

without a pattern.
flat or level: plain country.
unobstructed, clear, or open.

clearly and simply

lucid, understandable, intelligible, unmistakable, apparent, perspicuous. unambiguous, unequivocal, patent, transparent; direct. unreserved, straightforward, blunt, frank, ingenuous, open, sincere. unpretentious.

Free from obstructions; open; clear: in plain view.
Obvious to the mind; evident: make one's intention plain.
Not complicated
Straightforward; frank or candid: plain talk.

Common in rank or station; average; ordinary: a plain man.

Not pretentious; unaffected.

Something free extraneous matter.

Why the radical left wing liberals are SO scared of this woman is because she doesn't fit into the their notions of how a politician should be or act like.

I heard someone yesterday talking about how the liberal elite like those in the media, delude themselves into thinking they speak for the common man or the common woman. Sarah Plain showed them they are woefully out of touch with the true mainstream. And it's got them SO scared that they have to do everything in their power to destroy her!

As you can see by all of us STILL talking about her, she ain't going away!!!

No matter how much the immature hate mongering liberals wish she would!!!

Most voters don't vote on qualifications but on agreement on issues. Who is best qualified matters only if the candidates are about the same on issues.

Fred,

I said here,(and you agreed) that we were in for hell whether McCain or Obama became President. The choice of Palln on the Republican ticket was a move designed to draw middle of the road women who'd backed HRC and the religious fringe who McCain did not appeal to. Neither of these things say Presidential.

I do not know who will be elected or re-elected President in 2012, and that was not my question. I asked what makes YOUR CANDIDATE, Sarah Palin, qualified to lead, and so far your thumb is where it usually resides when asked for an answer.

The point was clear, but how about this point? The unemloyment rate was 4.2% when George W. Bush took office and 7.6% when he left.

"The unemployment rate rocketed to a more than 16-year high of 7.6 percent from 7.2 percent in December."
http://www.usnews.com/articles/business/careers/2009/02/06/january-unemployment-rate-hits-76-percent-what-you-need-to-know.html

"The number of unemployed rose by about 300,000 in January to nearly 6.0 million, pushing the unemployment rate from 4.0 to 4.2 percent.

BTW Torrance you did nothing exept quote me, do you have a point to make? Or would you just rahter set back and throw rocks?

typical leftist twit......

Oh Torrance I am so sorry if I offended your candy ass..........NOT!

Well Race Card since you set the table, pray tell us all who you think is the best choice to lead the natin in 2012 without mentioning the current clown in charge...

You got the ball RC, run with it.....

This is so entertaining!
