I had the opportunity to visit Kansas City over
the recent Independence Day weekend.
I feel the need to comment on the warm reception that I received from the
friendly people of the city. Being formerly from Chicago and currently residing
in Crown Point, Ind., I am not used to people taking up a friendly conversation
and even showing genuine interest.
Even wearing opposing team colors at Kauffman Stadium, people were friendly
toward me. The people of Kansas City should take pride. I can honestly say that
in all of my travels, I have never been to a friendlier city.

"Thats funny because I live here and I get called all kinds of names. Good for you I guess."
Hmmm, ever considered that it might be something besides the other team's jersey... ;o)
