Why is Jason Whitlock’s column in the Sports section and not on the Opinion page? His columns have far less to do with any sport, and more to do with race relations. His 7/26 column, where he went off half-cocked and without the facts regarding the Cambridge Police and Professor Gates, to an even greater extent than did President Obama, is but the latest example.
Sports would be a lot more enjoyable to read and follow without a dose of racism starting on the front page, and Opinion would be more sharp-edged with his brand of social and cultural commentary where it belongs. It would be a win-win.

Someone please explain the concept of a columnist to Curt. Posnanski's columns are full of opinions too. But oh yeah, I forgot, he's white so that's no problem.

you faoled to mention his blatant narcissism. Better yet, contribute to the cost cutting there and fire him.
