On Halloween, many groups of trick-or-treaters, four to five in a group, visited my home. Consequently, the candy dish emptied rather quickly.
When one group came, one of the children noticed there were only two pieces of candy left in the dish. To my surprise, he reached into his bag and offered me a handful of goodies, saying that other trick-or-treaters would then have some candy. I thanked him and declined because I had other candy available.
It was heartwarming to learn that this young child already knows about generosity and sharing.

Had it been the White House the children were at, the "resident" would have demanded 30% of each childs candy to be redistributed at a cost of billions.
Now that's a scary Halloween thought.
