Does Congress see that we’re wising up?

Hooray. Finally some, but not all, members of Congress realize that they must get spending under control. The big problem is that they are trillions of dollars too late. One has to wonder what the motivation is for this sudden revelation on their part. I guess it could be a couple of things:

They can’t think of anything else to spend our tax dollars on (and those of the next several generations).
They awakened to the fact that the ordinary citizen is not really stupid after all, knows the trouble they have put us in, and recognize they may lose their pork-spending, wonderful-benefit, money-making seats in the next two elections.

Funny how self-preservation can motivate some people.

Stifled Freedom

Well Don, as a whole, I had not noticed poeple wising up. A vast majority have still not substantially changed the way they vote. Why should Congress notice?

NoMoreMrNiceGuy

Congress could care less, politician inly care about their gang and their bribers.
The majority of our government is run by deadbeat lawyers so that should tell us something.
