Elections tip to GOP

President Obama’s “Chicago coalition” efforts did not show up last week in Virginia and New Jersey. The working middle class and independents turned against the Obama administration.

The arrogant attitude of the White House with all the promises and pledges during the 2008 campaign has been a wasted effort within the Democratic majority in both the House and Senate. Unemployment is racing toward 11 percent. Health care for more than 45 million Americans is just another promise forgotten.

The president cannot get things done except get our country deeper in debt with stimulus funding going to the wrong sector — the big corporations such as banks and financial institutions. They are not hiring the middle class so the stimulus funding is somewhere in cyberspace and not for the workers of America, which the campaign focused on.

New Jersey and Virginia voters recognized this and made a statement.

“I challenge you to a DUEL!!!” - Posted by: whispering_to_kc | Nov 11, 2009 6:36:10 PM

I think that’s an integral part of the UHC death panels. With completive bidding by the major networks for new forms of “reality programming” it‘s projected to be a major revenue maker for the UHC program. :D

There's really only one way to settle this.

I challenge you to a DUEL!!!

Arghhhhh!!!!!!

Thanks for admitting that you lied below.” - Posted by: Arminius

No, no, no. Whispering didn’t lie. How does whispering put it? It's another made-up story only presented to "prove" a conclusion and ideology. That’s waaaaaaaaaay different than lying, right?

NO?!?! Oh. Never mind.

Arminius

whispering:

"Congressional districts are "moving targets". Most of NY-23 hasn't seated a Democrat since the 19th century."

Thanks for admitting that you lied below.

Maybe a candidate from eaach ethnicity should be required to run. This way e can see who is really racist. Get rid of party labels and make people actually vote based on either skin color/ethnicity or by listening to the BS each candidate promises to get your vote.

"If Democrats win NY-23 in a special election to be held later this year, certain parts of this district will be represented by a Democrat for the first time in 159 years. ... Almost two-thirds of the population of the current district (62%) live in territory that has not elected a Democrat since 1890 or earlier."

Congressional districts are "moving targets". Most of NY-23 hasn't seated a Democrat since the 19th century.

Arminius

Whispering is lying again. Three different Democrats represented the NY-23 between 1978 and 1993.

The Democrat flipped his position on ObamaCare after the election. Do you think the voters will forget that?

Rasmussen now has Obama's approval rating down to 46% and Gallup now has the GOP several points ahead of the Democrats on the generic ballot:

The Democrats will be massacred next November.

Yeah, unfortunately we do have last another year, I pray we make it.

No Kee its 2009, look at your calendar.

Kee

Love the complacency of the left. Keep it up guys!

New Jersey goes REP, aysm? The Bluest of the Blue has said ENOUGH!

Is it 2010 yet??!!

I think both parties had something to learn about independents from the last election. I don't think it's democrats who have the main problem though. Uberconservatives are moving the republican party further and further right - they certainly aren't interested in catering to an independent middle. All the RINO namecalling is not going to help Reps in the next election. Neither is selecting super conservatives in primaries that can't win general elections.

Keith Williams3

They didn’t need elections for America to tip to the middle. With that said there will be a lot of angry right wingers in the next few years. That’s my prayer for a turnaround for America and OUR President.

Incidentally there is no way they can determine how many Americans do not have health insurance. The number is logically inflated as the government typically does.
Just like when Shalala admitted she inflated child support numbers to increase her cause. I do not trust government reporting based on their past criminal history. I would make an educated guess that maybe 10-12M Americans do not have health insurance and we need to justly address this but not with this deadbeat bill. All I know is I will be in jail for non-compliance or for putting cap in some deadbeat government commie clown when they step on my property.

Kee

Bad news for you Senator Clara clinging to NY 23. Your guy was listed on the ballot twice, the "RINO" was listed three times, the conservative only once. Small wonder he lost. $100 says the Democrat will not be re-elected in 2010, are we on?

Smarter Than You

I’m waiting for Bud Light to do a “real men of genius” commercial for Whispering.

“Here’s to you, Mr. Blame Bush guy:

Your party has had control of congress for almost three years and the White House for almost one, yet all you can do is say anything wrong is the Republican minorities fault (singer adds in “dude sounds drunk or crazy”). Being a beer company this is an unusual thing for us to say, but dude, lay off the sauce! Open a Prozac instead with a nice lithium chaser (“dude is drunk and crazy”). Picture this: Britney Spears, Charlie Manson and Whispering sitting down for a peaceful Thanksgiving dinner with their tin-foil caps and no alcohol; a true family scene.

But we only want customers who drink responsibly.

Whispering thinks those that do not supply jobs should be getting incentive to not supply jobs. Only a liberal idiot would think that Democrats are not the party of the rich. Soros? Buffet? Gates? Pelosi? All are billionaires. SOme morons think you can create wealth by printing up money and handing it.

“The working middle class and independents turned against the Obama administration.” - Matthew Daniel

Buy a clue whispering, your problem isn’t with your political opposite. Your problem is with those dang Independent free thinking voters that both you and your political opposite hate so much.

While you’re at it whispering, buy another clue: drop the radical socialist need for mandatory this and that. Calm down. Walk away from the bigoted, leftist edge and come back to the middle. Come 2010 those ignorant middle class independent voters will have forgotten all about 2009. Or jump off that leftist cliff of yours and hope your bungee cord is actually tied to something solid. Good luck with either choice.

whispering_to_kc

At the same time, voters in the NY-23 (Watertown) congressional special election voted in a Democrat for the first time since 1850.

Daniel forgot to mention that. I wonder why. Perhaps it's because ... he was making a statement and the NY-23 results wouldn't contribute to his conclusion?

The Republicans shrunk it down and steered too much of the remaining "stimulus" away from working people and into tax cuts for business and rich people.
