Incomprehensible actions

I read with great interest the column by C.W. Gusewelle on serial rapists and murderers of children (11/15, Local, “Killers of children deserve swift justice”). I agree with every word he wrote.

What drives people to commit such horrendous crimes, I will never fully understand. They are obviously sick individuals who prey on the weak and the innocent.

Unfortunately, as the population of the world increases, so does the number of perverts, serial rapists and child murderers.

The families of the victims, especially the murdered ones, will have to live the rest of their lives with the pain inflected by these criminals.

Our concerns should be figuring out why these perps do what they do, then feel sorry for them and make excuses for them.

"Unfortunately, as the population of the world increases, so does the number of perverts, serial rapists and child murderers."

So what are you exactly suggesting?

Or we can look at it as this:

Fortunately, as the population of the world increases, so does the number of scientist, peacekeepers and healers both physical and mental.
