Inequity in politics of flu vaccine shortages

During the Bush administration, the Democrats seized on the shortage of the flu vaccine to accuse the administration of being unable to protect Americans — from either illness or terrorism. “If you can’t get flu vaccines to Americans, how are you going to protect them against bioterrorism?” Sen. John Kerry, the Democratic presidential candidate, asked in an interview with National Public Radio. “If you can’t get flu vaccines to Americans, what kind of health care program are you running?”

So in view of the shortage of the H1N1 vaccine, I must ask of John Kerry and his fellow Democrats what kind of health program is President Obama and the Democrats running anyway?

And the Democrats want to take over all of our health care system and make medical decisions for us, and hopefully protect us from bioterrorism or any other terrorist act.

Scary, isn’t it? At least President Bush protected us from any terrorist attack for eight years.

Can the Democrats do the same?

Mr. Anders (Average Joe) believes he would recieve a Bio terrorism vaccine if we were attacked under the Bush administration! Now that's funny! But not as funny as Hubert believing that W saved him from terrorists!

Smarter Than You

This administration "promised" 120 million doses would already have been made available. Last time I checked they were about 100 million to the short side.

It's part of a pattern, by both parties, to promise far more than they can deliver. But since the former occupant got pilloried over the Katrina thing I think it's fair to point out, with prior knowledge, that this administration failed (again) to deliver on a promise.

That's a heck of a job!

Clearly, since you are so smart, I did a poor job of making my point. NO ONE had heard of H1N1 before last spring. A few short months later and ordinary folk are getting vaccinated. I find that amazing.

Smarter Than You

Heck of a job, Tommy. In Tommy world everyone that wanted the vaccination got one. . .or not.

Let's see...H1N1 was identified about six months ago. A vaccine is currently in production and distribution. My children, through no special circumstances, have been vaccinated for H1N1. Clearly a case of ineptness of the administration.
