Poor leadership holds KC back

A recent issue of The Christian Science Monitor magazine had a cover story article about the next U.S. boom towns, which was very enlightening. The article detailed U.S. cities with growth and potential in the new technology and economy that we are living with today.

Kansas City is not mentioned anywhere in any context. We currently have some of the worst leadership that Kansas City has ever had. The bickering and childish actions of the mayor and City Council are downright embarrassing. I would hope all residents get involved politically at the local level or at least make informed choices when our next opportunity to vote comes around.

Karen, how can this be? I mean the Mayor has so much help from those "community activists" who throw 70 year old women off the Park Board; and oh, don't forget all the "help and advice" he gets from all those "non-political ministers" when he makes a change in city managers.

Stop and think a minute Karen, the Mayor and the Council don't run KC. "Community Activists" do. What a zoo, Detroit here we come!!
