Taxes needed to clear federal debt

It really bothers me that our country is in debt, and that it is no big deal and doesn’t put citizens in a panic.

We are trying to use more money with health care and financial aid programs as well as other things that need money to run them. I don’t understand how our main focus is on doing all these things that cost money when we are in a tremendous debt. I would like to see taxes increased on items under $1,000 so it would not include housing and cars and the more expensive things.

I understand that this will get a lot of criticism, but if taxes are raised a little bit, it will all add up. I hope that over a period of time it would help our economy and get our nation out of debt.

It is a little pathetic that our dollar is only worth 67 cents compared to the Euro. This needs to change and be close to equal.

I think he fails to realize you can not tax or spend your way to success and certainly can not tax more than 100%, even with supreme Obama mathematics.

And who buys the cheaper stuff? Lower and middle class folks. Didn't Obama PROMISE that I would pay not one cent more in taxes because I make less than $250K? Yet here come the 'soda' and 'sin' taxes. Who pays those? Here comes the taxing of the insurance I get at my job. I pay $3,000 a year so that's another $500 or so in taxes if that comes to pass. And folks, I am OK with my insurance arrangement, wish it was cheaper but I can handle it. But if now I pay taxes on it too, that will make it a tough one. But then again, I didn't vote for Obama because I knew he couldn't pay for all this without hitting my wallet hard.

After the white house hears about Jared's letter he will be Obama's new economic Czar. (After he completes the third grade)
