Veteran appreciates free dinner

I shared in a wonderful experience on the Plaza on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Along with other veterans of our country’s military forces, we were honored by McCormick & Schmick’s, along with other vets, to a wonderful first-class meal on the house.

The food was exquisite, the service exemplary, and it was provided to any and all veterans who showed up. Some came in suits, others in casual dress, and others in attire reflecting hard times. Nevertheless, they were treated equally and with respect for their duty to our great country.

This fine eating establishment deserves applause for its wonderful gesture and display of gratitude to all vets. Appreciation for service transcended dress codes or social status.

I salute McCormick & Schmick’s on the Plaza.
