Health care reform

Open wide and say “ah,” America, because the left is going to jam government-run health care down your throat, like it or not. Many polls show Americans don’t like it. But never mind — the ruling elite, the American politburo, know what is best for you.

And, for the few of you who actually do support this takeover, do you really want to entrust the government with one sixth of the American economy? Are you so lacking in individual self-reliance that you are willing to hand your well-being over to faceless bureaucrats? Keep in mind these are the same people that brought you an insolvent Social Security, insolvent Medicare and Medicaid, the highly efficient U.S. Postal Service, the always on-time Amtrak and departments of motor vehicles.

The tipping point for our nanny state is now in sight, and you can take that to your neighborhood, government-owned bank. Conservatives and moderates, let’s press the good fight and take our great nation back for ourselves, our children, our grandchildren and future generations of legal immigrants.

I want to ask, how to keep health always??
may u give me some tricks?

Doug Matsen

Is it possible to have a serious discussion about health care? Our system is obviously broken and badly in need of repair, yet this is what we have to say. Today our system charges the poor unisured person 3 times as much as the insured person for the same hospital services, and this is considered OK. This is not a joke. I was charged $8,000 in hospital bills for a broken leg, and if I had been uninsured the bill would have be $28,000 - and they would have tried to collect every bit of it. What is wrong with us? Do we really believe that we should kick people when they are down?

Ah good comeback, but it does not address the questions I asked you. So I see you went the insult route as you have nothing.

So again, if someone makes an accusation against someone else with no substantiation, you say they are guilty. That is the system you think we operate under?
I will await your next insult as it is obvious you do not want to address the obvious fallacy of your argument. I do not blame you, it is embarrassing to continue to make such a ridiculous assertion.

What next? will you call me a dummyhead! LOLOL

Wild Man

Everyone else sees that your a fool. Go a head with your delusional beliefs.

reports by victims are proof? So in our system according to you once someone reports a crime the person reported on is put in jail? That is your stance?

So if I go out and claimed you hit me, it is just automatically the truth. Are you really that desperate or really that dense?
I realize you will not see or understand this but everyone else will!

Wild Man

"Please show one actual bit of proof this actually happened or shut up." - Zeno

How about reports by the victims supported by an apology by Amy Kremer, (Who never used your smoking gun word alleged in the Fox News account), followed by embracing rhetoric of the intolerance demonstrated by members of the crowd by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) and Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.)

Oh I forgot, the victims are liars and those that are apologizing for the intolerable behavior are not sure that it really happened. Never mind the two representatives that are making excuses for the behavior.

You have to love the twisted minds of fanatics that won't admit the truth even when it slaps them several times in the face. You go ahead and believe what you want, the sane people are moving on.

Honestly is this the best bill they could have past? I am for reform but come on people get past hatred for each other/Obama/Rep & Dems. This Bill is far from good and not where our focus needs to be. Pelosi and Obama are like the KC school board and the last 5 superintendants; she is watching him like a hawk and making all the decisions.

Jim, you are upset that you got caught but what is with the righteous indignation? Do you not understand the posts are kept?

Try checking the facts before spewing your Fox "News" talking points next time, Zeno. Posted by: Jim | Mar 22, 2010 1:33:00 PM

Hello pot!
Aww, thanks cute. Zeno accusing others of spewing talking points. Thanks for the laugh.

First Wm the mispelling of my name is really clever.
Second i point out your selective reading and you come back "I know you are but what am I". It Did not work in 3rd grade and does not work here.
Third, not one quote or story you allude to indicates they know anything actually happened. Responding to the "allegations" they made their statements.

Please show one actual bit of proof this actually happened or shut up. Please show the video of it and I will believe it. Sorry but I am not going to take the word of a self serving politician. It rings tooooo convenient, just like the the made up racial slurs during the campaign. The libs have been to the well too often on this one and it is dry.

People condemning "the idea or concept" of an alledged action MEANS NOTHING>

Read slow and see if you can understand that. Or continue to be a boob and repeat what you have already said again and again and again. Then go have a "freethinking" session with IGGY.

Wild Man

I still see you have that little selective reading problem. Leaving out the truth is the same as telling a lie. It amazes me that the biggest liars are the first ones to point fingers.

He condemned "alleged" slurs. Get a grip WM, you got caught lying. I would also denounce any racial slurs. he did not in any way say he knew they were real.

What part of thword alleged do you not understand.

Teabagging: "The label "teabagging" has been applied to Tea Party protests in general, and to the specific protest gesture of mailing a tea bag to the White House. The appellation emerged after protesters displayed placards using the words "tea bag" as a verb."

whispering_to_kc: You accuse others of namecalling yet you freely use the term teabagger, don't you see what an idiot this makes you look like. The protestors are memebrs of the tea party, teabagging is what you do to your boyfiends, don't confuse the two!

Wild Man

I see now where you get your name.
Do you honestly think that Steele would be making an apology if he did not believe that it happened? I have some land in Florida for you too. Try this one out.

"I absolutely think it's isolated," Amy Kremer, the grassroots coordinator of the Tea Party Express, told Fox News on Sunday. "It's disgraceful and the people in this movement won't tolerate it because that's not what we're about."- Fox News (Same interview, Maybe reading past the first sentence is too difficult for you.)

"Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), a leading voice in the tea party movement, said Sunday that protesters’ recent use of racial and homophobic slurs toward Members of Congress was no big deal."

“When you use a totalitarian tactics, people, you know, begin to act crazy,” Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said Sunday on C-SPAN. “I think that people have every right to say what they want. If they want to smear someone, they can do it.”

Sounds like some of the republicans are embracing intolerance, don't you think Xenophobia

Name calling and insults are the last cards the fringe have left to play. Why should this space be any different?

Iowa Congressman Steve King to a crowd of teabaggers: "Let’s beat that other side to a pulp! Let’s take them out. Let’s chase them down. There’s going to be a reckoning!"

An Arizona Congresswoman's office was vandalized overnight.

Texas Republican Randy Neugebauer shouting "Baby killer" as Stupak spoke last night before Congress.

Teabagger ministers praying outside the Capitol to "kill ObamaCare in Jesus's name".

Crowds of teabaggers shouting "N*****" at John Lewis and spitting at Emanuel Cleaver as they walked the Capitol.

Some of us are coming unglued. Unhinged. This space is only reflecting the greater fringe unhingedness.

I see Dennis Moore voted YES. You can't tell me Johnson County KS wanted healthcare reform. BIZARRE how the public did NOT want the reform, yet democrats voted for it. Democrats are a party of GREED. VOTE THEM ALL OUT!

Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., is questioned by reporters about an incident involving Tea Party demonstrators as he leaves a speech by President Obama to House Democrats on Saturday, March 20, 2010. (AP)
March 21, 2010Sun, 21 Mar 2010 04:00:00 GMT11:03 PM EST

Republican National Chairman Michael Steele and one of the organizers of Saturday's Tea Party rally strongly condemned the racial slurs that some black lawmakers alleged were yelled at them by some health care protesters as they headed for a procedural vote at Capitol Hill.

Wild man try reading comprehension classes. Steele condemned racial slurs that were "supposedly yelled". He did not say they were true he does not know. nice try

Jim, Zeno made you look like an idiot with facts an that is your best response? Pathetic!

Really he goes to media matters to imply there was no special treatment because that is what their hesadline basically says and does not bother with the pesky facts that these grants have been over 4.5 months time.
There is no denying that the timing is suspicious. Chose to believe as you will, but he tried to make it seem as if everybody just received these grants. As far as that goes if we get emails from Stupak saying he changed his vote for the perks offered the libs will just ignor it.

Interesting today on the Ed show Howard dean said this is just a start on healthcare reform. the real reform comes a little down the road. Which is exactly what Obama said in 2007 about incremental steps to single payer. Will even one libs on this site admit they know this is only the first step like your messiah said??

Wild Man

You know the kooks are out when they won't even believe a Fox News report where one of the leaders of the rally condemns the racial slurs. Anybody got any conspiracy theories to sell out there. Seems like we have a desperate buyers market out there.
