It’s still Bush’s mess

Nearly every week brings a letter by a writer incredulous that George Bush could still be blamed for current problems. News, flash, guys. Bush’s devastating policies will be haunting our country for years to come.

Two rounds of tax cuts for the rich helped give us the worst debt in our history, even though Clinton left a budget surplus. Drastic repeal and deliberate non-enforcement of regulations helped produce the worst financial crisis since the 1930s and the worst environmental disaster ever.

Worst of all, we’ve dumped over a trillion dollars and 5,000 American lives fighting a war Bush lied us into.

Add up all these costs and you could pay for every Obama proposal and still reduce our debt. Too bad the tea partiers didn’t start their screaming eight years ago.

I stand corrected.

Bill, can you actually shoot ALL extremists? If there are at least 3 people left won't 2 of them be extremists?

Bill Moses

Chris Matthews!!! MSNBC!! As if they are unbiased! Somewhere between MSNBC and Rush is the truth. All extremists should be shot!

Zeno

Dateline MSNBC 7/29/2035:: Chris matthews reports the deficit is still out of control due to the presidency of George W Bush and his tax cuts!

And, to quote a phrase, Moje, "possession is 9/10 of the law." Which is to say, "Yep, it's ours."

Moje

Sorry, Mr. Bergmanis. It's not Bush's mess. It is OUR mess.

Keith Williams3

Bush started it and Obama is finishing it; the mess that is!
