Health care reform

Missourians should be congratulated for their Proposition C vote rejecting Obamacare — not chastised for it. The electorate speaking out against the Obamacare solution doesn’t mean that Missourians accept the current status of our health care system.

Maybe they think that the government has done a poor job with Medicare and Medicaid over the last several decades. Maybe they think it would be irrational to hand more power over to the same government that allowed this problem to exist in the first place.

Mohandas Gandhi said it best: “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.” If you care that much about helping the less fortunate, get off your hind end and do it.

My wife and I donate our time and money to Operation Breakthrough, a Kansas City organization that supports this very cause. We welcome your assistance as well.
