So Missouri’s House and Senate committees think that Missourians are too ignorant to vote. By overturning the vote on Proposition B, they are showing that they have no respect for the people they represent.
Missouri Republicans want to remove provisions requiring water for dogs, adequate shelter from the elements, space to turn around in the cages, necessary veterinary care and rest between breeding cycles. It makes one wonder whether the Republicans really are the caring party that they claim to be. One wonders whether some of them operate their own puppy mills.
I am tired of Missouri’s reputation as being the “puppy mill capital” of the United States of America.
I am not a PETA member, but anyone who cares about animals cannot just stand by silently and watch our votes be thrown out. Why were we even given the opportunity to vote if our opinion means nothing?

If Prop B is gutted - the rest of the country needs to boycott all things Missouri. The most disgusting state in the union.

another silly Jack King comment.
He must've gradjiated from the same sixth-grade class as Jethro Bodine...
If the "honorables" vote to repeal this vote of the people, as they did with a previous Prop B, I will be first in line to sign recall petitions against every one of them.

Terry the fact that you folks are desperately trying to distance yourself from the HSUS is vivid proof of your foolishness and mischief making.
No responsible outdoor sportsman will now support Prop B. Not one time in all the whinning and squealing letters has any of these folks ever attempted to deny the facts I have disclosed regarding HSUS. Also very telling.

Jack King shows NO concern for animals suffering in irresponsible breeding facilities.
Instead he prefers to rant about nonsensical conspiracy theories and 'city activists' and illusory 'outside interests' as if there is some Great Wall separating Missouri from the rest of the world.
Jack King will continue to rant and the rest of the country will continue to clean up the in-humane mess resulting from Missouri's disreputable puppy-mills.
And the rest of the country will continue to view Missouri's pet breeding industry as a dirty joke.

HSUS backed the campaing for Prop B. Their handwriting is all over it. Metropolitan areas cannot dictate to all Missourians 48.4% of the vote was against the Proposition. Bad law should be repealed or amended. If the current legislature accomplishes either, I urge the HSUS robots to do their best to vote those in favor of repeal out in their next election. Meantime those of us in favor of repeal will do our best to see them re-elected.

What about all the people who voted for Al Gore? He won the popular vote, apparently all the people who voted didn't matter. And before someone jumps all over my statement saying that it's like comparing apples to oranges, then explain why in the hell voting in states and the country isn't the same. Because that makes no damn sense. Counties could get electoral votes just like the states do. And, if that was the case, the puppy mill law would've been voted down. So, I say either give Al Gore his due, or quit bitching about the Prop. B. Jeez, you would think people didn't realize that popular vote doesn't matter.

According to the anti-Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act people, everyone who is interested in this Act/Proposition B works for HSUS.
HSUS must be the biggest employer in the state.
Rather than be "silly", this letter is to the point: we voted for this act, we knew what we were voting for, and the state reps attempting to repeal Prop B are showing disrespect to the voters of this state (as well as cold callousness to the poor dogs in commercial breeders).
However, this isn't a partisan issue. There are Democrats on both sides of this issue, as well as Republicans.
