Democrats and lefties monolithically chant “it’s about women’s health.” Nonsense.
For those women who “need” contraception, it’s available at Walmart for $4. This is about President Barack Obama’s “nanny state” dictating its socialistic mandates, trumping and trampling on the U.S. Constitution.
This is just the beginning of Obamacare’s intrusion into every citizen’s life in which the government usurps private rights and constitutional protection. Bureaucratic panels will be presiding over the distribution and rationing of medical services to the detriment of both providers and users of the system.
Ironically, the many Catholics who naively embraced Obamacare now need to have second thoughts. And all Americans who cherish our way of life must take action in November to reverse this Democrat spread of the “entitlement” cancer that is inexorably plunging this nation toward a Greece-like debacle.

It's all about WHAT comes out of the mouths of the right wing leaders. Is it really about women's health, I don't know.... I do know it's about the Stupid backwards- thinking words from the mouths of the Republican leaders and women are listening.

Please explain the problem with $4 per month for birth control pills. Is the $48/year too much or do you prefer the lies of that fool who went before congress?
Going back to the Regan years? That would mean there never was a balanced budget as the left likes to claim under clinton. Continue to ignore the positive impact of defense spending, it shows how well thought you are. Legends in their own minds, the left never disappoints.

gg.....Obama's really duped you....
He doesn't want to get involved with Iran until AFTER the election...Why do you think he's asked Israel to wait?...Same - with talks with Russia... It's all a waiting game with Obama - even his "Legacy" Obamacare......
(and SCARE tactics - shame on you)....Romney will no more lead us into a war with Iran than Obama will.......It's just that Obama will only ask permission from the United Nations and NOT Congress........
BTW - so far as ALL THE TALK about the women's vote for president....You might want to wait and see what Romney's got up his sleeve before giving the women's vote to Obama..... LOl! Time WILL tell......
Posted by: LL | April 09, 2012 at 08:41 AM
......mornin' BD.....as long as we're simplifying things and saying the issue can be resolved with a $4 monthly purchase at Walmart we might as well have fun with it...
.....these guys with all the answers are as entertaining as their opponents who have all the solutions.....

Two things:
1.) did Sol just post a link? Task, task, task
2.) if women decided the outcome of the November election in April I would be concerned. Since they don't, i'm not. Romney is going to crush Obama and we will all be better off.
Posted by: Big Daddy | April 09, 2012 at 06:07 AM
All this is fruitless because the Prez's popularity is pretty even with men—perhaps 2-3 points to the negative—but Romney and the Tea Party are bleeding away any support from women. So to Gary and WoodyKC, please prepare yourselves to be disappointed on Nov 7.
There will be major push-back from liberals, moderates, independents, and even reasonable Republicans who do not want the US of A to follow the Tea Party and those rascals Blunt and Graves, ne'er-do-wells and charlatans all...

That is a concerning article, gg. I hope even Romney wouldn't be that stupid. I could be wrong since he hasn't really proven anything but stupid during the primary.

Our safety valve for another "Greece-like debacle" is the power of the printing press vs the power of the bankers to demand austerity to protect their loans. Both carry a price but one is a better value over the other in the long run.
"... What is wrong with the Wal-Mart solution? I use the pharmacy their and it is the same medicine or are you just a bigot against Wal-Mart? ..."
I don't go their, but I here you bruther. Your welcome.
Our current debt problems can be laid squarely at the feet of the Bush Depression, high unfunded military spending going back to the Reagan years, the Bush tax cuts for his millionaire base and (unpunished) banker malfeasance. "Entitlements" was never the problem, only the convenient whipping boy.

In the alleged suicide note, found by police and reported by Athens News, he said: "The government has annihilated all traces for my survival, which was based on a very dignified pension that I alone paid for 35 years with no help from the state."
"And since my advanced age does not allow me a way of dynamically reacting... I see no other solution than this dignified end to my life, so I don't find myself fishing through garbage cans for my sustenance."

Yes, these Murphy style letters always seem to come from JoCo and cities like Prairie Village or Leawood. "Let the others eat cake" doesn't keep them away from the walls forever.

Woody, you are gonna feel so duped when we find ourselves in a Romney-led war with Iran.
Posted by: ggbridge | April 08, 2012 at 02:28 PM
Thank you gg for the paranoid leftist views.
Posted by: WoodyKC | April 08, 2012 at 02:06 PM
That's good Woody. Women do think, and I can tell you what they are thinking but instead I'd rather mention the 18 point gender gap Romney faces. Romney would drop this issue like a hot potato, but lovely republicans like you and Mr. Murphy keep bringing it up.
Speaking of Romney, US, did you catch the times article this morning about him and Netenyahu? http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/08/us/politics/mitt-romney-and-benjamin-netanyahu-are-old-friends.html?_r=1&hpw
Romney says the are so close they can speak in shorthand. I wonder what shorthand is for "bomb Iran."

This guy is all over the board. Contraception, nanny state, socialism and a comparison to Greece. Have you been to Greece, Gary? Greece's parliment makes our Congress look professional. There is no real comparison to be made. This is all in the head of conservatives who really think they know something, but prove (as this letter demonstrates) they know very little.
Like Sol posted, this is just filler. Now, we should all be good conservatives and go watch Fox so we can be told what to think.
Here's an interesting article on the Republican primary and their ignorance about Europe from the German perspective.

One other note, it's $4 without insurance coverage, yep so hard, continue your lies about controling women.
Posted by: WoodyKC | April 08, 2012 at 01:02 PM
What is wrong with the Wal-Mart solution? I use the pharmacy their and it is the same medicine or are you just a bigot against Wal-Mart? Many of us believe that the o would like to take over health care, what percent of the economy is that, not to mention GM? So keep talking like you have some superior intellect and keep making stupid and derogatory comments. Good luck in November, we can only hope that the majority of women think.

....somehow the letter went from "absolutely right" to "carelessly used and unnecessary word"...
.... comparing us to Greece qualifies this one for pure filler....
Posted by: solomon | April 08, 2012 at 12:50 PM
You've taken care of one carelessly used and unnecessary word, UC. Now do the substance of the letter.

Before the cons on these threads prove themselves to be even more foolish (if that's possible), might I offer the actual definition if socialism.
Main Entry: so·cial·ism
Pronunciation: \ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm\
Function: noun
Date: 1837
1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.
Now, please try to tell us all how President Obama is a socialist or welfare within a capitalistic economic system is socialism. I love it when people try talk about something that do not understand.
I read the words "nanny state" and "socialistic mandates" and realized Mr. Murphy is trying to sound educated with his usage of big words.
Gary...shame on you. You fell for it.
Posted by: Uncommon sense | April 08, 2012 at 11:52 AM
I wonder if Mr. Murphy realizes that whenever a guy says to women that if they "need" contraception, they should just shut up and go buy the $4 stuff at Walmart, the gender gap for President Obama grows, especially in the swing states. So, go for it Mr. Murphy. Tell women what they need and what they should do. Let's hear more.
Posted by: ggbridge | April 08, 2012 at 10:10 AM
I can say more about Mr. Murphy, but I will limit myself to this: He's absolutely right!
Posted by: Gary | April 08, 2012 at 09:08 AM
All I can say about Mr. Murphy is that he is one sad and pathetic person. Get well soon Michael...
