I am pleased at the national attention that the senseless homicide of Trayvon Martin has created. But I’m confused why this one slaying in Florida would be more newsworthy than the countless drive-by shootings we have right here in Kansas City.
These murders are equally senseless. Oh. Wait. I know.

I think most of us know why......This is the same question that Juan Williams put up after the president spoke mentioning... Trayvon Martin by name....
These everyday killings of innocent young (mostly black males) by other (mostly black males) is senseless - but nothing is said much by our leaders about it.... Why?
